Whole Body Paradigm has partnered with RVN Wellness to offer this unique training in the beautiful setting of Camp Douglas, Robert’s Creek, BC.

Join us on the Sunshine Coast! When you are not in training, there are acres of forest for exploring, beaches to walk and swim at, and fire pits to linger around at night. A nice mixture of cabins and dormitories are available to satisfy all accommodation requirements. Set on the oceanfront grounds of Camp Douglas, join us for a weekend of summer camp style activities. All activities are suitable for everyBODY and plenty of choice will be offered to ensure you can choose activities that align with your intentions for the retreat.

Whole Body Paradigm’s Art of Assisting Yoga Teacher Training is a multi-disciplinary approach to enhancing your teaching practice. For anyone who has just started teaching yoga, one thing becomes very clear; how do I assist so that I truly enhance my student’s experience?

Our assisting training is an essential tool for yoga teachers to learn how to support support their students and offer value-added teaching.

Enjoy the Art of Assisting teacher training program in person at this beautiful site. It can go toward your 300 hour certification or YACEP. Contact us for scholarship opportunities.

Our Assisting training program is trauma-informed, teaches you how to understand the uniqueness of diverse bodies (skeletal variation) and offers insights from various lineages and theories. We rigorously explore seven types of assisting from hands-on through to verbal, energetic and demonstrative and always with respect as our guiding principle.

Deepen your knowledge of anatomy, meet a close community of new friends and learn to make assisting a true and meaningful conversation between you and your student.

Be prepared for a weekend of play.

*Although this retreat will bring out your inner child, we do ask that participants are a minimum of 18 years old to attend. Additionally, the keepers of the land have requested no alcohol or smoking be permitted on property*

Rustic Cabin Dorms

The budget friendly rustic cabins sleep up to 11 people in traditional bunk beds. The washrooms are a short walk away in the main retreat centre. Price includes 2 nights accommodations, all meals, and activities.

$565 + 5% GST ($459 for studio members)

Retreat Centre Dorms

The retreat centre dorm rooms sleep 3 people per room. The shared washrooms are located in the same building. Price includes 2 nights accommodations, all meals, and activities.

This option is for those who have alternate accommodations in the Roberts Creek/Sunshine Coast area. Price includes all meals and activities but does not include accommodations or transportation.

FAQs

Can I bunk with friends? Of course! Every effort will be made to place friend together. Book early to guarantee you will be in the same cabin. After booking, email dawn@rvnwellness.com to indicate your preference. Additionally, groups of 3 or more receive 15% off!

Can I come alone? Of course! You will be placed in a dorm or cabin with others and our hope is that by the end of the weekend you will be trading friendship bracelets!

Do I have to do yoga? Of course we will have multiple yoga class offerings each day but all our activities are optional. We will a choice of several activities at once to provide you with choice. You are welcome to create an itinerary that aligns with your intentions.

Can I bring my child and/or pet? Unfortunately not this time (adult insurance stuff)

Is transportation provided? We encourage carpooling and can get you in contact with others who are joining however cannot offer transportation as part of the retreat package but arrange pick up and drop off at the Gibson’s ferry terminal for $20 one way, or $33 return. The retreat is located a 15 minute drive from the Gibson’s ferry terminal. For more information about transportation, email dawn@rvnwellness.com.

What kind of food will be provided? We will offer plenty of choice with our fully plant based menu and of course… snacks! If you require a gluten friendly or any other type of special diet, please email dawn@rvnwellenss.com so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.

What's included? All activities, supplies, and meals. Your adulting ends as soon as you arrive, we will take care of the rest.

What's not included? You’ll want to bring your own bedding/towels as well as sunscreen, bug spray, yoga mat, reusable water bottle, and any comforts from home. The property is located on the ocean and water shoes might make swimming a little more enjoyable.

Cancellation Policy A full refund is provided up to 30 days prior to the retreat. Bookings are fully transferable. If you find out you cannot make it after the 30 day cut off, you are welcome to transfer your registration to someone else.
